When I am in a hurry in the mornings and don’t know what kind of jacket to throw on, I always throw on a vest! A vest is perfect for when it is too cold to just walk out in your cardigan but not so cold for your winter jacket. There are plenty of options for vests, and the best way to pair a vest is with a long sleeve shirt, skinny jeans and a great pair of riding boots.

My favorite vest happens to be from J. Crew. This quilted vest would go great with any fall outfit and would look great with a floral printed scarf.

There is nothing better than walking out of your home on a chilly fall morning and knowing you wills stay nice and warm in your vest. They are easy to walk around in since they are not as bulky as a winter coat and can easily be taken off if it gets a littler warmer.

The Tendo Patchwork vest from Anthropologie is a little pricey but don’t you just love the patchwork?! The textures are great also and look like something unique that you would find in a tiny boutique. While it is also a little more lightweight I still love the patterns and casual look it gives off.

I know I like my vests to be a little bit on the heavier side since I am always cold but the lightweight ones are just as good. Let’s hope the weather stays chilly, (but not too chilly) so that we can all wear our great vests!
