Waking up on Monday mornings can be tough. You probably slept late on Sunday morning, and your body is not ready for that 6:00 AM (in my case) wake up call. I sometimes hit my snooze button twice on Mondays! Once I get out of bed, and splash my face with some water, I start to think about what needs to get done for the week and what I need to do by certain deadlines. Here is how I like to organize my week.
I start off by taking out my planner and writing everything down. I write down errands I need to do during the week, deadlines I need to meet, dinner plans, lunch dates, and work I need to do at home. I feel as though once I write everything down, things become more manageable and put less stress on me.
I also try to plan dinner for the entire week on Monday morning. This saves me time during the work week and also allows me to make a grocery list of what I need to buy. I try to stick to this as much as possible, unless last minute dinner plans come up or my work schedule changes. This may sound strange, but I feel less rushed if dinner is planned for the week and it also puts less pressure on me!
Having a hot cup of coffee when you wake up on Monday morning usually gives me that extra jolt of energy I need too! Try making yourself a cup when you wake up or before you walk out the door.
Planning my outfits for the week is something I like to do as well. This saves me SO much time in the mornings and allows me about 10 extra minutes to either put on my makeup, take a shower or eat some breakfast. I try to plan my outfits according to the weather, but if it happens to pour one day I will take out my wellies and change up my outfit!
Of course, everyone has their different Monday morning routines, so do what works best for you. I just like to have my week planned out in advance and take on the work week with a fresh mind and cute outfits. Happy Monday!
