There are some places with perfect weather, but not so perfect attractions or demographics. There are other places with amazing scenery but not so amazing weather. San Diego, California is perfect in every which way! The weather is perfect all year round, the land is absolutely breathtaking and the food, sights and culture are all perfect enough to make you never want to leave.
Did I mention that the weather in San Diego is so great that is a huge reason why so many people live there? The temperature is in the 70s almost all year, and it barely ever rains. The mornings are cloudy and foggy, and the sun is out by noon! I personally love the mornings because it is so calm and peaceful by the ocean and it slowly wakes you up for the day. There are quaint little coffee shops you can grab an espresso in and sit by the beach with your breakfast in hand. What a perfect morning!
The Coronado Resort on Coronado Island is amazing. I have stayed there twice and love it! It is right on the beach and in the center of a great little town.
The food in San Diego is something to talk about too! With it’s close proximity to Mexico you can find authentic Mexican food, and the seafood there is incredible. If you want to go the seafood route I highly recommend The Fish Market. With outdoor seating right on the water and a huge list of fresh fish, you can’t go wrong! This is a fun spot for a night out and definitely is a huge local spot too so you know it’s good.
If you’re looking to have fun during the day and go see some of the best spots in San Diego, you’re in luck! The San Diego Zoo is one of the most famous zoos in the country, SeaWorld is right around the corner and my favorite place of all, La Jolla is only a short drive away. La Jolla is a quaint beach village about 20 minutes away from San Diego but still considered to be in the San Diego area. I fell in love instantly. Rolling cliffs overlooking the Pacific, and palm trees lining the sidewalk by the beach are normal things to see, and everyone is walking around in bathing suits! It is such a beautiful town, I could easily live there!
Yes, this is La Jolla. Imagine living here all year round!
Maybe it was the weather for me, seriously, this East Coast weather is SO unpredictable, but something about San Diego got to me. I get this feeling of comfort and paradise, yet can totally see myself living there. San Diego is definitely a place I would visit again! And again, and again…
