With summer entertaining high on my to-do list, these glass vase centerpieces caught my attention immediately! They are a super fun to make and you can really let your creativity shine. They are perfect for outdoor tables, or indoor tables during the winter months. You can even mix and match the colors of the flowers depending on the season!
I absolutely love flowers and anything involving fresh, or fake flowers gets my vote. As an added surprise to this craft, you can add a great table runner underneath the vase to make the whole table look complete. This project is great to do in the summer months because you can pick fresh flowers to add to the vase instead of fake ones. Though I have to admit, I love the way artificial flowers look too!
Supplies:
O Antique glass jars and/or vases. (Can be found at antique stores or your local arts and crafts store.)
O Enamel paint made for glass (Found at arts and crafts stores. Make sure it can be used on glass!)
O Flowers (Real or artificial!)
Directions:
O Pour some of the enamel paint into the jar/vase and twirl around until the inside of the jar/vase is fully coated.
O Depending on how many you are making, pour the remaining paint into another jar/vase and repeat.
O Let the jars dry for two days then place flowers into the jar/vase.
And that’s it! It makes an adorable table centerpiece even for a casual kitchen table or island. Mix up the colors of the paint and flowers and play around with color schemes. Try dark shades for winter and lighter shades for fall. You can even try wrapping decorative ribbons around the jars too!
We love this project because of it’s simplicity and beautiful decorating options! This is a great project to do with your girlfriends and even trade with each other once you are all done! There is nothing better than freshening up a room with flowers and bright colors so make sure you keep that in mind when making these wonderful vases!
